Dy FM: Iran's key role in region acknowledged by other parties in Vienna talks

Shahrerey, Nov 2, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs, Hassan Qashqavi, said on Monday that Iran's presence in the Vienna talks on Syria crisis led to other parties acknowledging to its influential role in the region.
Qashqavi told reporters that Iran's presence in the Vienna II Syrian peace talks meant other countries have admitted Iran's power.

He said participation of Iran in the Vienna meeting made the other party appreciate Iran's role both at international and regional levels.
He said Iran's decision to take part in the meeting was very important and valuable.

'The reason such meetings did not produce any results is that many countries stick to their own stance and of course, 'We held our own stance on the issue and stuck to it firmly.'

Pointing to the speech of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, his deputies and ambassadors, Ayatollah Khamenei said his guidelines on regional issues should be taken into consideration seriously .
