No bargain over Syria: Irans deputy FM

TEHRAN (Tasnim) An Iranian deputy foreign minister dismissed any talk of bargaining over Syria in a Friday international meeting in Vienna, stressing that Iran explicitly declared its stance in the gathering, that is, the Syrian nation alone should decide the Arab countrys fate.

Speaking at a television talk show on Saturday night, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined that Iran neither make any concessions in the Vienna gathering nor made any bargains on the future of Syria.

What the US tried to propose in the meeting gave way to Irans political ideas within the framework of the international law and in support of the Syrian nations rights, he added, noting that they were included in the final communiqu, .

A number of world powers and regional countries, including Iran, Russia, the US, Britain, France, Germany, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates on Friday gathered in Vienna on Friday to find a solution to the Syrian crisis.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with Takfiri terrorists from various groups, including the ISIL, currently controlling parts of it.

According to the United Nations, more than 240,000 people have been killed and one million wounded during the conflict.
