Cultural Attaché: Addressing Iranophobia needs cultural activities
Kuala Lumpur, Oct 31, IRNA – The Western media is propagating the conspiracy of Islamophobia and Iranophobia, and we need to foil their plots by launching extensive cultural activities, said Iran's cultural attaché in Malaysia on Saturday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Third Putrajaya International Islamic Arts & Culture Festival, Ali-Akbar Ziaee said that while the negative propaganda of the Western media is reflected in the Malaysian media, Iran's participation in such festivals could enlighten the public opinion about Iran's cultural and artistic reserves and the role it plays in the Islamic civilization.

The ethnic and racial diversity should serve as an opportunity for furthering cultural, economic and political cooperation in the region, Ziaee said.

If the Islamic nations fail to appropriately utilize the diversity as a chance, it will turn to a threat.

In addition to Iran and Malaysia, other Islamic countries including, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia are among the participants in the festival.
