US State Department spokesman John Kirby comments of the alleged Moscow's help with the transfer of Iranian weapons.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik)�� The United States will take actions against�Russia if reports that Moscow allegedly helped to�transfer Iranian weapons to�Syria are true, US State Department spokesman John Kirby said in�a press conference on�Thursday.

�We will be looking into�these press reports, and if Russia is found to�be facilitating those transfers, we are going to�raise that in�the appropriate channels, both bilaterally and at�the UN if warranted,� Kirby stated.

On Thursday, Fox News reported that Russia helped deliver Iranian weapons to�Syria �twice a day over�the past�10 days.� The media outlet attributed the information to�Western intelligence sources.

The export of�Iranian weapons is banned under�UN Security Council resolution 1747.

The United States has also imposed sanctions on�the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Ministry of�Intelligence and Security for�providing material assistance to�the Syrian government of�President Bashar Assad.
