Tehran, Oct 26, IRNA � Spokesman for Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said here Monday that the nuclear hospital in Tehran will be the first in the Middle East, adding the country will be proud of it.

Behrouz Kamalvandi said use of nuclear technologies in diagnosing and treating the diseases have become a usual work in the health and medical areas in the country.

An agreement was inked this morning between AEOI, Ministry of Health and Tehran Municipality on construction of Iran's first 1,000-bed nuclear hospital in Velayat Park in southwest of Tehran.

Providing further modern services to treat refractory diseases is one of the major objectives behind building the nuclear hospital, health minister had already said.
