Tehran, Oct 18, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Sunday welcomed statements of the Kuwaiti acting foreign minister regarding importance of regional countries’ dialogue with Iran.
‘The approach of government of Kuwait is constructive and praiseworthy,’ Afkham said.
She said to this end, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif started his first tour of the region after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Afkham added that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s irrevocable stance is based on giving the priority to expansion of relations with the neighbors and up to so far, no initiative and proposal for promotion of relations has been left unanswered.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is hopeful that other neighbors in the south will use the opportunity available and welcome start of serious and constructive dialogue with Iran.
