Nanotech. economy sees 100% growth in 3 years

TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) Head of Industry and Market Workgroup of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, Dr. Asadifard, announced that a growth of 100% has been observed in Iran nanotechnology economy in the past three years, INIC reports.

"Despite economic problems in the country in the past three years, a growth of more than 100% was observed annually in the field of nanotechnology. It means that nanotechnology companies have had a growth of more than 100% in their annual sale," Dr. Asadifard said.

Noting that the environment of the annual Iran Nano Festival has become gradually industrialized, he stated, "the festival has turned into an innovative exhibition since two or three years ago, and it is going to become fully industrialized. Among 170 enterprises that are active in the field of nanotechnology, 100 of them participated in Iran Nano 2015 while the rest such as large industrial groups take part in specialized exhibitions or in Industry Exhibition."

Mentioning the organization of Iran Nano Festival concurrently with Industry Exhibition in recent years, Dr. Asadifard said, "the reason we insist on organizing Iran Nano Festival at the same time with Industry Exhibition is that the organization of the two events at the same time leads to good results. Industrial audiences negotiate with nano companies and they find many products and approaches required by the industry in Iran Nano Festival."

According to Dr. Asadifard, nanotechnology economy has had a growth of 100% in the country. "Although nanotechnology economy has a small share in the country's economy, a growth of more than 100% has been observed in the past three years despite many economic problems in the country. It means the sale of nano companies has increased 100% annually."

"In case we keep the trend of growth for a few more years, we will have a good share of the market in future to materialize the motto of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, which is production of wealth and enhancing the quality of life," he concluded.
