Tehran, Oct 11, IRNA � Vice President and Head of National Atomic Energy of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is a source of honor for the nation.

Addressing the Sunday morning session of the parliament which was reviewing the JCPOA, he noted that the negotiations were conducted in accordance with certain principles.

He said despite what the Americans wanted to include in the document, Iran will go on with its enrichment activities, conduct research and have heavy water technology.

He also pointed out that Iran will one day become a provider of enriched uranium.

Iranian parliament ratified the general outline of a single-urgency bill on the JCPOA here on Sunday.

The Iranian lawmakers reviewed the single-urgency bill on the JCPOA in an open session on Sunday morning.

Review of the single-urgency bill on the JCPOA shows Tehran's reciprocal and proportional measures towards implementation of the plan was on the Majlis's agenda today.

A total of 253 lawmakers cast their votes. The bill was approved with 139 favorable votes, 100 against and 12 abstentions.
