Iran’s Zarif returns home from New York

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif arrived in Tehran on Wednesday.

He left for New York on September 22 for the 70th anniversary of the UN General Assembly annual summit.

He was accompanied by some nuclear negotiators, including Abbas Araqchi, Majid Takhte-Ravanchi and Hamid Baiedi-Nejad.

During his presence in New York, Zarif met with his counterparts from across the world. He also discussed implementation of the JCPOA with US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Foreign ministers of Iran and P5+1 also met in New York.

Zarif pursued Mina deadly crush which led to killing of 646 Iranian Hajj pilgrims through diplomatic channels during his stay in New York.
