Kuwaiti FM: PGCC states ready for dialogue with Iran

Kuwait City, Oct 6, IRNA Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said that member-states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) are ready for holding dialogue and understanding with the Islamic Republic of Iran based on international laws and principles and non-interference.

Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Ahmad al-Sabah made the remarks in a joint press conference with his German counterpart Frank Walter-Steinmeier in Kuwait City on Tuesday.

'We are ready for dialogue and understanding with Iran because the PGCC member-states believe that there are always the grounds ready for cooperation with the neighboring country of Iran and we hope that this dialogue and negotiations will be started for further establishment of security and stability in the region,' he added.

He reiterated that the PGCC member-states are hopeful to hold talks with Iran on the basis of international principles and the principles of the UN by taking into account the commitment to good neighborly ties.
