German FM: Vienna nuclear agreement helping regional security

Kuwait City, Oct 6, IRNA German Foreign Minister Frank Walter-Steinmeier underlined that the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and the world powers is the foundation for establishment of security in the Middle East.

'The signing of nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers is the beginning of a new era for holding dialogue with Tehran and precise implementation of the paragraphs of the agreement can be basis of the materialization of peace and security in the region and the Middle East,' the German foreign minister said, addressing a joint press conference with his Kuwaiti counterpart in the Persian Gulf Arab country.

On September 22, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) to fulfill their commitments concerning the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
'How to implement the JCPOA is of utmost importance; the time is ripe for the six world powers, specially those who have imposed unjust sanctions against Iran to take practical measures to bring about a fundamental and tangible change in their approach towards Iran based on UN resolution 2231, which turned the JCPOA into an official document,' Zarif said upon his arrival in New York.
