Boroujerdi criticizes conduct of Commission examining JCPOA

Khorramabad, Lorestan Prov. Oct 6, IRNA Head of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Tuesday seriously criticized the Commission in charge of examining JCPOA, saying that a report provided by the commission gives pretexts for Iranian enemies.

Alaeddin Borujerdi made the comment in an interview with IRNA.

He said that Members of Parliament had tried to present the report as a double-star bill to the Parliament, but the proposal was rejected and it was accepted as a single-star bill.

He said that the presiding board of the Parliament returned the bill to the JCPOA Commission for revisions and the commission in its Monday evening extraordinary session ratified its general points, inclusive of 9 articles and two annexes.

Borujerdi predicted that the parliamentary bill will be scrutinized and put to vote in formal session of the Parliament next Sunday and will most probably be ratified with the strong majority of the MPs' votes.
**Role of team of non-parliamentarians unjustifiable
Referring to a letter written by five MPs and their reference to a team outside the Parliament in drafting the text of the Parliament's report on the JCPOA, Borujerdi said that after 40 days of restless surveys of the JCPOA the role played by that outsider team is righty criticized by those five MPs.

He said that the JCPOA has positive and negative aspects, but in JCPOA Commission's reports only the negative aspects are highlighted and the five MPs are referring to that sensitive point.

'The enemy will in the future for sure rely on the JCPOA Commission's report, because they have officially opined that the enemy has the right to inspect our military sites, while both the negotiating team and the Supreme Leader have made clear redlines of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

'The Americans will for sure in the future resort to the JCPOA Commission's report and argue that they can inspect the Iranian military site in accordance with what that report has mentioned, while we are totally opposed to that idea and reject such a thing,' said Borujerdi.

The JCPOA Commission's report on JCPOA text was read out at formal session of the parliament last Sunday.
