MOSCOW (Sputnik) � Iraq welcomes Russia�s decision to use its armed forces in the fight against the Islamic State as long as it stays within the borders of Syria, the head of Iraq�s defense and security committee said Wednesday.

�Iraq welcomes this decision [on airstrikes against the ISIL] as long as this is within the borders of Syria,� Haqim Zamli told RIA Novosti by telephone.
