Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA � Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Seyed Hassan Hashemi, who arrived in Mecca on Tuesday morning, visited pilgrims injured in Mina tragedy in a hospital in Mecca.

Hashemi, who is heading a medical delegation in this trip, closely watched treatment process at the hospital.

He said that general condition of the injured pilgrims are satisfactory.

Hashemi accompanied by other Iranian officials in Mecca proposed the injured be treated more quickly and grounds be prepared for their prompt transfer to Iran.

The tragedy happened on last Thursday September 24 in Mecca, which left 239 Iranian pilgrims dead, many others wounded and 241 declared missing.

Totally around 2,000 pilgrims died and more than 2,000 others were injured in Mina tragedy.
