Afkham calls for UN immediate action to halt Saudi attacks on Yemen

Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman called for UN's investigation and that of other international bodies into numerous instances of violation of human rights in Yemen.

'The constant attacks on the residential areas and non-military targets as well as preventing the access by the UN and other concerned international bodies in helping the affected people is violation of principles of human rights,' Marziyeh Afkham said in reaction to the Saudi regime's aggression against Yemen.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokeswoman strongly condemned the airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition on al-Mokha Taez region which resulted in death and injury of tens of innocent Yemeni civilians, including women and children.

Afkham also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims who were attending a wedding ceremony.
