Irans Army Ground Force furnished with new artillery gear
TEHRAN (Tasnim) The Iranian Army Ground Force on Saturday officially received a number of the latest homegrown military equipment, including cannons and anti-armor missiles.

The new equipment came into the Ground Forces possession in a ceremony attended by commander of the force, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan in Tehran.

The weapons included an automated 23 mm cannon, equipped with stabilizer and mounted on the BTR personnel carrier.

Another weapon was a self-propelled 155 mm cannon, dubbed Hoveizeh, in addition to its spare parts.

The other products included a disposable single-barrel 107 mm missile launcher, dubbed Karkheh, and a disposable 122 mm rocket launcher, named Bostan.

Dehlaviyeh anti-armor laser-guided missile and 3 F-class tank carrier vehicles were among the other equipment that the Ground Force received in the ceremony.

The Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Iran has already made it clear that its military might poses no threat to the regional countries, saying that the Islamic Republics defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
