Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani in separate messages congratulated his counterparts in Islamic countries on auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Big lesson from Hajj rituals is strengthening of brotherly spirit, empathy and unity under the grace of monotheism, said Larijani.
In his messages, Larijani described Hajj rituals as a peerless religious duty.
‘Hajj and its rituals’ is a symbol of unity, intimacy and sincerity, said Larijani.
He further said Hajj is a proper opportunity for resolving problems among the Muslim brothers.
Fanning the flames of conflicts among the Islamic Ummah will benefit Islam’s enemies including the Zionist regime, Larijani said.
‘Today, the measures taken by the extremists and Takfiris have created difficult situation for the Islamic Ummah and have put the Islamic countries in the most critical situation in history.
Larijani further called on the parliaments of the Islamic countries to take due strategy for preserving Islamic unity in order to deal with such critical situation.
He said that Iran’s Majlis supports any move to strengthen cooperation among the Islamic countries.
He hoped the Islamic Ummah would solve the problems and stand at its proper place.
Eid Al-Adha, or ‘Feast of Sacrifice’, is one of the two most important Islamic celebrations, together with Eid al-Fitr.
After special prayers to mark the day, Muslims offer udhiyah, a ritual that reminds of the great act of sacrifice Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon them) were willing to make for the sake of God.
