Iran has always been aware that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is biased and US dominated, especially regarding its approach to the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier, Sayed Hadi Sayyed Afqahi, a former Iranian diplomat and expert is strategic affairs, told Sputnik Arabic.

The analyst explained that Iran has repeatedly demanded from the IAEA to examine Israeli power plants, but this was denied.

According to him, Israel is backed by a great power � the US and major European countries. This is why Israel has avoided signing the Nuclear Weapons Non-Proliferation Treaty.

"Double standards indicate that we have the right to doubt the IAEA reports about the Israeli nuclear program presented to the UN Security Council and the Group (5+1). There are biased [�] and focused on hostility," he said.

If the resolution [on the Israeli nuclear program] was approved all scandalous matters and violations would be revealed [about the Israeli nuclear arsenal], he added.
According to him, the Israeli nuclear arsenal poses a serious threat to the security and stability in the region.
