TEHRAN (Tasnim) � International Atomic Energy Agency Chief Yukiya Amano said the IAEA will remain impartial in preparing its reports on Tehran�s nuclear energy program.

�The IAEA has planned a step-by-step, regular, and progressive movement in its consideration of programs related to Iran (�s nuclear activity),� Amano stressed in a Sunday meeting with Iran�s President Hassan Rouhani here in Tehran.

He assured the Iranian president that the agency will prepare and release its reports on the country�s nuclear energy program based on impartiality and emphasis on facts.

On July 14, Iran and the IAEA signed a Road-map regarding the Islamic Republic�s nuclear work in the Austrian capital city of Vienna. The agreement was reached on the same day Iran and the Group 5+1 � the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany � finalized the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna.

As part of the Road-map, the IAEA is required to finish its investigations about Iran�s nuclear activities and submit a report to the agency�s board by December 15.

Elsewhere in the meeting, Amano said the IAEA seeks to ensure transparency in fulfilling its responsibilities, adding that it can be a good basis for long-term cooperation between Tehran and the international body.

He also expressed the hope that IAEA experts� report on the so-called PMD (possible military dimensions in Iran�s nuclear energy program) would be presented to the IAEA Board of Governors as soon as possible within the framework of the JCPOA.

The UN nuclear chief on Sunday morning arrived in Tehran, where he held separate meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Chief Ali Akbar Salehi.

Amano is accompanied by a four-member delegation, including his deputies.
