Yasouj, Kohgilouyeh-Boyerahmad Prov., Sept 18, IRNA � Commander of the Islamic Republic Army Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Pourdastan said on Friday that the Islamic Republic Army ground forces will nip any threat in the bud.

�The armed forces are in very high combat readiness. The Army ground forces will nip any threat against the Islamic Republic establishment in the bud,� Pourdastan told IRNA on Friday.
Pourdastan said the most important duty of the armed forces today is raising the combat readiness of the Islamic Republic Army.
He said such an important duty will be fulfilled, relying on the good indigenized arms, the strong ideological foundation and faith of the combatants, using new technics and tactics for present in the proxy war, asymmetric warfare and carrying out military exercises.
