Tehran, Sept 16, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that commemorating great figures is a fruitful step in line with promoting Islamic values.
In a message to the ceremony marking first death anniversary of Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Nasiri read out by Semnan governor general, he lauded the ayatollah, saying that he spent all his life on fighting despotism and serving people.
'We should introduce his religious and Islamic beliefs to the young generation,' he said.
The great scholar always accompanied the late Imam Khomeini during Islamic campaign, the message said, adding that he spared no effort to fight despotism and played a valuable role to guide the public, especially the people of Semnan.
