Tehran, September 14, The Iran Project- A senior�Iranian military commander says�the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps� (IRGC) Ground Forces have cleared all the West and Northwest regions of the country of terrorists.

�We proudly announce that due to the endeavors and sacrifices of the martyrs and warriors of Islam, all border areas of the West and Northwest country have been cleared of terrorists and IRGC forces have a permanent presence there,� �commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps� (IRGC) Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said on Monday.

Referring to the insecure conditions of the�North-West and West Country before the recent operations of the IRGC�s Ground Forces, the Iranian commander�said operations and combat engineering measures that have been taken by the IRGC�s Ground Forces in these regions were once considered ambitious and unattainable.

Pakpour also pointed out that extensive combat operations and engineering measures that have recently been taken by the Ground Forces led to full control of country�s borders.

It was one of the longstanding wishes of officials that was realized with the courage of our warriors, he added.
