Iran, Ukraine sign MoUs to broaden economic cooperation

Tehran, Sept 14, IRNA Chairman of Ukraine Chamber of Commerce Gennady Chizhikov and Chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines Mohsen Jalalpour Monday signed several memorandums of understanding on agriculture, industry, mining, transport and energy cooperation.

The MoU in agricultural sector includes food industry and animal husbandry, in industry it includes manufacturing spare parts for automobile and airplanes, in mining it includes mining industries, in transportation it includes railway, land road and sea transport and in energy sector it includes oil, gas and power plants.

Prior to signing of MoU, Jalapour said that the ground for enhanced cooperation between the two countries is well-prepared and the two sides should spare no effort to augment the figure.

New situation created mainly after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) struck on July 14, more foreign delegates have come to Iran, so that the opportunity should be seized by both sides businessmen, Jalalpour said.

Trade and commerce cooperation between both sides are expected to develop in coming months, he said.

Head of Ukraine chamber of commerce, for his part said presence of some 80 top managers from various economic sectors in Iran will have fruitful results for both sides.

The history indicates that Iran has always treated well with its economic partners, Gennady Chizhikov said.

The signed MoUs will lead to expansion of mutual cooperation and are encouraging for the Ukrainian economic partners to develop long-term cooperation with Iran, he said.
