Saudi-Led Coalition Getting Ready to Launch Ground Attack into Yemen

Alwaght- The Saudi-led coalition which includes Persian Gulf Arab states has recently received a fatal blow from Yemeni forces, an event pushed the aggressive coalition to start a ground assault against Yemeni army as well as Ansarullah movements forces, whose leader pledged more crushing responses against the aggressors.

Following the fresh developments, Qatar has sent about 1000 troops to Yemen, aiming to back the Saudi forces in a possible ground assault against the Yemeni capital Sana'a.

A source close to the Qatari military confirmed the report. Egyptian officials told Reuters that an unspecified number of Egyptian troops would arrive in Yemen on Tuesday and Saudi-owned Arabiya newspaper quoted sources as saying that 6,000 Sudanese troops would soon join the fight inside Yemen.

The Sudanese government did not comment on the report but it was corroborated by the source close to the Qatari military.

In Riyadh, a news agency run by Yemen's exiled government said that 10,000 loyalist troops were also preparing to take part in an advance on Sana'a.

Meanwhile, the Emirati and Saudi jets intensified bombardment of other Yemeni cities, killing dozens of innocent people, adding to the already large number of civilian deaths.

The stepped up strikes against civilian places in Yemen come after the Friday missile attack by the Ansarullah movement against the occupying forces in a military base in Yemens Marib province, an attack proved highly costly for the leaders of the Arab countries taking part in the aggression against Yemen, as it caused frustration and confusion among them. The deadly missile attack, which killed over 45 soldiers only from UAE and Bahrain, has greatly shocked the Persian Gulf Arab countries, pushing the Saudi Arabias allies to deploy troops to Yemen in a help mission to the Saudi forces already camping in Yemeni cities.

Reuters has reported that Qatar has sent 1000 of its forces to Yemen, a first time ground troops deployment by Doha since Saudi assault began in March 2015.So far, Qatar has only engaged in airstrikes of the coalition.Entering Yemeni territories through al-Wadia border crossing point which is the only active border path between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, the Qatari forces have brought with them a huge amount of military equipments, the military sources suggest. Reuters has added that the new forces in their way to Yemen have joined Saudi forces to brace for fighting the Yemeni Ansarullah movement. In addition to ground forces, Qatar has deployed 200 armored vehicles as well as 300 Apache helicopters to Yemen.

In other news, the tribes of southern provinces of Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Al Jawf, Marib and even Aden, has been asked to prepare and send their fighters to Marib provinces commanding headquarters. The IRIB, quoting Merat al-Bahrain news website, has reported that the Bahraini king Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa said on Monday that his two boys Naser and Khalid has been present in Yemens Marib military base of the Arab coalition forces, which was targeted last Friday by a missile fired by Yemeni forces. Also, the local sources suggest that over 1000 special forces bound to Abd Rabbah Mansur Hadi, the resigned Yemeni President, and Saudi-led Arab coalition have been set off to Marib province.

Since the center for camping of the Arab coalition forces, oil-rich Marib province is of great importance to Saudi Arabia, a Riyadh gas increased its desperate struggle to capture the province from the Yemeni Ansarullah resistant movement. Riyadh has set to strengthen its already present forces in Yemen with deployment of new special forces. The Saudi London-based Al-Hayat newspaper has reported that all these troops and military equipment deployment to Yemen indicates that the coalition is making final preparations to launch a decisive offensive against Sana'a, the capital.

Saudi Arabia and its allies intend to launch an attack against the Yemeni capital, and then advance northward to gain control of all Yemen, a purpose has not been actualized so far due to Ansarullah movements strategic consciousness. Besides, the recent deadly missile attack targeting the invading forces camping in a military base is showed that Yemeni forces are capable of confronting the Arab coalitions aggression.

Targeting the Arab coalition military base in Marib province, the recent Yemeni forces missile attack has been carried out by a Tushka missile, killing nearly 300 Emirati, Saudi and Bahraini forces, a game changing attack that clarified the risks of Saudi-led coalitions intervention in Yemen, as it proved a more deadly and bloody outlook could be in sight for the warring sides.

Intensified strikes against cities

Following the fresh heavy losses inflicted on Arab coalition forces by Yemenis, the coalition has stepped up its attacks against Yemeni civilian places. According AFP, the Saudi regimes jets have carried out airstrikes against a funeral service in Northern Province of Marib on Sunday night, killing 30 people and wounding 50, all of them civilians. Moreover, Al-Massira television has reported that in another round of airstrike against Lahij, Saada and Aden as well as Sabin Hospital in , hundreds of Yemeni civilians have been left dead and injured. Middle East Eye news website in a report suggested that the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets have bombed Ansarullah movement as well as former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Salahs whereabouts.

Saudi grim plan for Sheikh Nimr

A deeply clear critic of the Saudi regime, Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr is a Saudi Shiite cleric who has been protesting against Riyadh regime for discriminations against Shiite minority in the kingdom. Calling for improvement of their living conditions, Saudi Shiites received tough and bloody response by regime's security forces. On 8 July 2012, Sheikh Nimr was shot by police in the leg, and was arrested and set to prison. On 15 October 2014, a Saudi court sentenced sheikh Nimr to death for what it called seeking foreign meddling in Saudi Arabia. The verdict triggered fierce outcry domestically and internationally.

With remarkable escalation of the Yemeni army and Public Mobilization Forces attacks on south Saudi Arabia, specifically Jizan province, some media outlets have revealed that the Al-Saud officials are planning to transfer the prominent and outspoken Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr from a jail in Riyadh to Jizan province to kill him there and then announce Ansarullah movement as accountable for his death, while the resistant movement is increasingly launching attacks in Saudi Arabias southern areas in response to Saudi-led aggression. Meanwhile, Alwaei news website has reported that after Ansarullah's missiles attack on a prison in Jizan province, the Saudi officials decided to send the cleric to Jizans prison so that in case of the Ansarullah movements attack Saudi Arabia holds them responsible for his death. Although, transferring Sheikh Nimr is not certain, this is one of the options the regime is keeping in hand to murder sheikh Nimr and other opposition figures. Charged with speaking against the Saudi regime, Saudi cleric has been three years in jail.
