IAEA Board of Governors examine Iran nuclear program

Vienna, Sept 9, IRNA Thirty-five members of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors on Wednesday examined the latest report on Iran nuclear program by IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano.

In his latest update, Amano has once again confirmed that there have not been any deviations in Iran's nuclear activities, noting at the same time that the agency cannot still make a final assessment of Iran's nuclear work.

In a news conference on Monday, Amano had repeated his previous claims, saying, construction works at Parchin site will influence the agency's probe.

In a reaction to Amano's remarks, Iran's permanent representative to the UN nuclear agency Reza Najafi said that Parchin is a normal military site and construction works are normal and have nothing to do with the probe.

Najafi said that even the US officials have admited that construction works in the area are normal and brings no responsibility to the Iranian government.
