Isfahan calls for Czech Republic's partnership to launch light rail

Isfahan, Sept 5, IRNA The mayor of the central city of Isfahan Mehdi Jamalinejad held talks with visiting Czech Foreign Minister Lubomr Zaorlek on Saturday, calling for a contract to be signed with Czech Republic to launch Isfahan's light rail system.

Jamalinejad said that Isfahan municipality has made negotiations with a Czech company on launching light rail lines.
He said that lifting of Western sanctions on Iran will pave the way for promotion of relations between Iran and Czech Republic.
Comparing Isfahan and Prague from a tourism viewpoint, Jamalinejad said that Isfahan and Prague can be declared sister cities.
The Czech foreign minister arrived in Isfahan at the head of a political delegation on Friday to discuss bilateral issues with Iranian officials.
