Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA –The problem of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi’s house arrest needs more time to be solved, Minister of Justice Mustafa Pourmohammadi said on Wednesday.
Speaking in a meeting with directors of Iranian media, he noted that house arrest of Karroubi and Mousavi is a security issue and the Supreme National Security Council should decide about it.
The issue of house arrest is not a legal case because it is a decision taken after political unrest, the official added.
Defeated presidential candidates Mehdi Karroubi and Mir Hossein Mousavi have been under house arrest since 2009.
