TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani blamed the spread of insecurity in the Middle East on the support that the West has provided for terrorist groups in the region.
In a meeting with Malaysia’s Parliament Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia in New York, Larijani said insecurity in the region has its roots in the support for the Takfiri terrorists given by certain Western countries, specifically the US.
He noted that even the creators and supporters of the terrorist groups will have to face the consequences of the insecurity and crises in the region.
The Iranian speaker also urged joint efforts by all Muslim countries in the fight against terrorism.
Elsewhere in this meeting, Larijani called for the releases and extradition of the Iranian inmates in Malaysia.
The two senior parliamentarians met on the sidelines of the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
