Israelis demolish 15 Palestinian homes in West Bank's Ramallah

Israeli forces have once again demolished more than 10 Palestinian homes near the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

According to local reports and witnesses, Israeli forces early Monday destroyed 15 Palestinianhomes in the Jaba village, using two bulldozers.

Locals said that other residential buildings nearby were also damaged.

According to reports, the Israeli military unlawfully demolished some 40 structures in the Bedouin Palestinian communities in the West Bank between August 17 and 18, leaving nearly 130 people, including 80 children, homeless.

The continued rise in Israels destruction of Palestinian homes and buildings comes as the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits an occupying entity from destroying private property or forcibly transferring the population there.

Since the beginning of 2011, Tel Avivs destruction of Palestinian homes has left more than 4,600 Palestinians homeless.

Tel Avivs policy of demolitions comes hand in hand with the regimes tight restrictions on Palestinian construction.

Hundreds of thousands of Israelis currently reside in more than 120 illegal settlements constructed since Tel Avivs occupation of the Palestinian territories in 1967. The settlements are considered illegal by most of the international community.
