President Rouhanis chief adviser and secretary of Free Zones High Council, Akbar Torkan, cultural, social and tourism deputy of Free Zones High Council Secretariat, Mohammad Ali Zam, managing director of Kish Free Zone, Ali Asghar Mounesan and other officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
The first project was the Olympic Swimming Pool at Olympic Sports Complex. Covering an area of 2,200 square meters, it was completed in four months. The pool building includes spectator stand, changing rooms for both teams, sanitary facilities, office, store room, lifeguards rooms, massage hall, CPR room, bodybuilding hall, VIP hall, sauna and emergency exit.
The new swimming pool has replaced the old one that caught on fire last year. Renovation was started last winter. The pool is equipped with the latest technologies in water chlorination, antimicrobial facilities, air-conditioning, fire alarm and fire suppression system.
Next to be inaugurated was Bagh-Rahe Irani Iranian Garden Path. The charming space was built for introducing the cultures of ethnic groups. It covers an area of 32 hectares and is located on the southern side of Velayat Boulevard, between the squares of Hormoz and Sadi.
The complex includes eight gardens in Iranian style and nine gates and buildings reconstructed after Quran Gate of Shiraz near Sadi Sq, followed by the gates of Isfahans Sioseh Pol (Bridge of 33 Arches), Mashhads Harounieh, Kermans Roqabad, Lorestans Pol-Dokhtar, Arg-Ali Shah of Tabriz, Kermanshahs Taq-Bostan, Tehrans Shemiran Gate and gateway of Tehrans National Garden near Hormoz Square.
The project also includes 43 water displays, gallery of statues, murals in Irano-Islamic style, cycling track and sports courts. The bronze logo of Iranian Garden Path was designed by calligrapher Majid Pazouki.
The third project was Gozar-e Tabiat (Nature Pass), which covers an area of 6.5 hectares. The project, located on the eastern side, features quality furniture, lighting without installation of light posts, games facilities for children and sports equipments, and a pathway for joggers.
Other attractions of the pass include 15 fiberglass likenesses of bird, gazelle and turtle, apart from a coral water display, shelter, pergolas and an interactive water display.
The fourth project was Mahigir (Fisherman) Beach Park. It is spread over 4,000 sq meters with a green space of 500 sq meters. The largest fiberglass figurative statue in the country, which is 12 meters high, has contributed to the parks beauty. The statue is made of materials compatible with the local climate.
