TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that the international community has acknowledged the Islamic Republic’s influence and power.
The whole world has realized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is an influential international player and a credible power, Zarif said on Thursday.
The top diplomat also said that conclusion of the nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) has prepared the ground for settlement of the other international issues, particularly the conflicts in the Islamic world and the Middle East region.
Iran and the six powers on July 14 reached a conclusion on a lasting nuclear agreement that would terminate all sanctions imposed on Tehran over its nuclear energy program after coming into force.
Earlier on Thursday, Zarif told reporters that it will take some time for Iran’s economy to feel the effects of the termination of sanctions after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) comes into force.
In comments earlier this month, Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia had also played down expectations that the termination of anti-Iran sanctions would have immediate results on the country’s economy, saying notable impacts will emerge no earlier than March 2016.
