TEHRAN August 25(Shana)--Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh said Iran does not allow any companies from the US or other countries to manipulate Iran's energy sector.

"We will allow neither the US nor any other country to be in control of Iran's energy sector," said Zangeneh, addressing reporters in a press conference on Tuesday.
He said Iran would not even allow its allies to gain�manipulate�its energy sector, adding, "Iran's cooperation with foreign companies is aimed at maximizing its interests only."

Pointing to privatization of the petrochemical industry in Iran, he said the policy was performed hastily and led to formation of monopolies in certain parts.
