South Korea eyes Iran Lucrative market

Beijing, Aug 24, IRNA South Korea says following the nuclear agreement between Iran and major world powers and the gradual lifting of Western sanctions, Seoul cannot afford overlooking the lucrative market in the Islamic Republic.

While the South Korean trade delegations are rushing toward Iran, the country's economic entrepreneurs and businessmen have called on authorities to pave the way for South Korea's strong market presence in Iran.
The South Korean companies should gain what they really deserve in the Iranian market and cooperate appropriately with Tehran on implementing infrastructural plans, they wrote in a letter to South Korean authorities.
In a report, South Korea's Yonhap news agency, has also described Iran's market as significant and lucrative for the South Korean businessmen and companies.
Yoo Il-ho, the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, on top of a senior trade delegation was in Tehran recently to examine ways of expanding economic ties between Tehran and Seoul.
South Korea's deputy minister of trade, industry and energy, heading a delegation, will also pay a visit to Iran soon, according to Hassan Taherian, Iran's ambassador to South-eastern nation.
