Tehran, Aug 24, IRNA - The grandson of the late Imam Khomeini called recognition of Iran's nuclear rights in the international scene as a big step forward.

He made the remarks in a ceremony held to celebrate Iran Government Week.

Khomeini thanked the country�s nuclear negotiating team for their tireless efforts for conclusion of a historic deal with P5+1.

President Hassan Rouhani and his administration on Monday paid tribute to the late Imam Khomeini on the first day of Iran Government Week.

The late Imam Khomeini, the founder and leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, passed away on June 3, 1989.
