Shamkhani: SNSC will consider outcome of JCPOA studies by other parties

Tabriz, E Azarbaijan, Aug 20, IRNA Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said on Thursday SNSC will consider outcome of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action studies by the other parties prior to releasing a report on examining the context and annexes of the deal.

Speaking to IRNA, Ali Shamkhani said nuclear agreement between Iran and 5+1 is under careful study by the Supreme National Security Council, adding that the agreement is being reviewed from different technical, industrial, economic, and transparency dimensions.

He said that the Council is studying the deal thoroughly and will release a report after considering views of the other parties later, adding that the time for the announcement of the result will approximately be simultaneous with the result of the investigations of foreign partners and 5+1 group.

Noting that the outlook towards the Plan should not be factional and political, he said otherwise either left or right will be weakened under such circumstances and only the enemies will take the benefit.

He emphasized that a national consensus is necessary with regard to the nuclear agreement between Iran and 5+1, saying that survey of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is precisely in line with sound mechanisms by the SNSC.

He called for a cooperation of parliament with the Supreme National Security Council to jointly examine the JCPOA.

He pointed to the steadfastness and resistance of the people of Iran to the avarice of the enemies as the main factor to bring the Western sides to the negotiating table with Iran, adding that otherwise 5+1 would have not sat at the negotiating table with Iran.

Referring to Irans nuclear achievements in recent years, Shakhani said the same progress in science and technology led to the insistence of the enemies on closure of all nuclear activities of Iran but today they have recognized Irans nuclear rights and are ready for negotiation.

He expressed the hope that the joint nuclear document will finally bring the national strength, stability and unity.
