The government is trying to make the Internet accessible in all Iranian villages home to more than 20 households by the yearend [March 21, 2016], Mahmoud Vaezi, the minister of telecommunications and information technology, said.

There are more than 38,000 villages in the country, he said, adding �Presently, some 90 percent of the villages which are home to at least 20 families have landlines.�
