Hamedan, Aug 16, IRNA � The 20th scientific Olympiad for University Students started here in west of the country, a senior education official said.

Hossein Tavakkoli, the senior advisor with the organization in charge of country�s university entrance exams, told IRNA on Sunday that students from 10 world countries have participated in the 10-day event.
According to the official, the countries include Russia, Georgia, Tatarstan, India, Iraq, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Oman, sri Lanka and Algeria.
Participants will have exams in such topics as the Persian language and literature, economy, law, chemistry, physics, maths and several engineering courses, he added.
The exams which are being held in the English language have been going on 19 years now.
