Tehran to suffer no more from power outage

TEHRAN, Aug. 13 (MNA) The implementation of a new electricity project in Tehran has removed the possibility of a power outage in the Iranian capital during peak hours in Summer. Pak-Paygah 63kV cable project with an investment cost of over $3.3 million has become operational, Tehran Regional Electricity Company announced on Thursday.

The most important feature of this new electricity project is a boost in the stability of the power grid which reduces the possibility of a power outage especially during the peak hours in summer.

Tehran has been struggling with power outage and the citizens have been advised to reduce their electricity consumption, especially during the hot days of summer. Power outage happens when high usage due to the heat leads to rising temperatures in the transformer oil, which forces the system to shut down so it can cool down.

The new electricity project is expected to resolve the power blackout issue once and for all.
