Date of Jason Rezaian' final court session to be decided

Tehran, Aug 9, IRNA - A top Iranian judicial official said here on Sunday the date of final court session of the Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian depends on the judge's decision.

Talking to reporters in Tehran, Director General of the Judiciarys Tehran Province Office Gholam Hossein Esmaeili reiterated that, 'We could not judge in this respect until the court session is held.'

So far, three investigation sessions have been held over the case of Rezaian at branch 15 of Tehran Islamic Revolution Court under the chairmanship of Judge Abolqassem Salavati behind closed doors.

Head of the office of the spokesman of the Judiciary had earlier announced charges of Washington Posts reporter as espionage in favor of the hostile US government and propaganda against the system.

Jason Rezaian is an American-Iranian citizen. A while ago he was detained together with his wife and one of his friends but later his wife and his friend were released but Jason remained in detention.
