Gas refinery output crosses 2.7bcm in 4 months

TEHRAN August 5(Shana)–Bidboland Gas Refinery processed more than 2.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the first 4 months of the current calendar year which began on March 21, the refinery’s chief said.

Ali Mohammad Pour-Reza said Bidboland refinery received 1.45bcm of its throughput from phases 6, 7 and 8 of the massive South Pars offshore gas field which Iran shares with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters.

He said the refinery has passed as much as 1.8 million man-hours without any accidents which is a record by itself.

Pour-Reza further said the refinery will be most ready for feeding the national gas trunkline during winter.

Bidboland Gas Refinery is located in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
