98 unauthorized immigrants detained in Qom

Qom, Aug 2, IRNA – Deputy Police chief of central province of Qom colonel Hamidreza Asadi said Sunday that 98 unauthorized immigrants were taken to police custody in the province.

Asadi said the foreign nationals were arrested in police patrolling of suspicious areas where foreign nationals took shelter without permission from the Iranian government institutions.

Assadi said that presence of unauthorized immigrants could raise crime rate in the province.

He said that the low health level in substandard shelters could cause outbreaks of epidemic diseases.
