IME trading volume rises by 77 percent

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) was the host for trading of 526 KT of various commodities worth more than $223 million in spot and secondary market, the volume and value of trading experienced a growth of 77 and 65 percent, respectively, during the week ending up to July 29th.

According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, during this week, in agricultural trading floor, 4,200 MT of sugar, 2 KT of maize were traded.

Moreover, in domestic and export metals and minerals trading floor of IME, 250,929 MT of products worth more than $90 million were traded.

In this trading floor, 131,972 MT of steel products, 110 KT iron ore, 4,245 MT of copper, 100 MT of molybdenum sulfur, 4,600 MT of aluminum as well as 12 MT of concentrate were traded by customers.

Also, in domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floor of IME, 268,909 MT of different commodities with the total value of $130 million were sold.

In this trading floor, more than 121 KT of bitumen, 43 KT of polymer products, 59 KT of VB, 30 KT of lube cut, 14 KT of chemical products, 300 MT of insulation, 2,030 MT of sulfur and 10 MT of argon were traded in this trading floor.
