Tehran, July 27, IRNA – European Union (EU) High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini will arrive in Tehran on Monday on an official visit to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The visit is coming two weeks after Zarif and Mogherini announed conclusion of the nuclear deal between Iran and P5+1 group of world powers on July 28 in Vienna.
‘It will provide an opportunity for exchanges on the implementation of the agreement, on which the High Representative will continue to play a coordinating role, and on regional and bilateral issues,’ read a press release by the EU External Action.
During her visit, it said, the High Representative Federica Mogherini will meet Iranian foreign minister, and representatives of Iranian authorities.
The EU Foreign Policy chief will arrive here from Saudi Arabia where she is sheduled to meet with the Saudi authorities including the Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir on Monday.
‘Topics on the agenda will include bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, regional issues, in the aftermath of the agreement reached on 14 July on the Iranian nuclear issue, as well as international issues of common interest,’ the press release said.
