Chicken exports continue to Iraq despite the recent rumors regarding a halt in exports due to an outbreak of avian flu, said the deputy minister of agriculture in livestock production affairs. �So far, no case of avian flu has been reported in industrial production units,� IRNA quoted Hassan Rokni as saying.

About 7,000 tons of chicken are exported to Iraq every month, he added. Iraq and Afghanistan are currently the main destinations for chicken exports, with Russia having recently joined the list.
