Iran condemns terrorist attack in Algeria

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian foreign ministry deplored the terrorist attack perpetrated on Friday against elements of the People’s National Army (ANP) in Ain Defla, Algeria, which caused several deaths.

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham strongly condemned the attack, and extended the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sympathy and condolence to the Algerian nation and government, specially the bereaved families.

Stressing that the ominous phenomenon of terrorism is created by the enemies of the Islamic Ummah to reach their inhumane goals in the region, she called for close and continued cooperation among the Muslim states to confront this inhuman phenomenon and prevent expansion of grounds for the activity of terrorist and Takfiri groups.
