TEHRAN (Tasnim) � The United Nations Security Council will no more regard Iran's nuclear program a threat after voting on an unprecedented resolution on Monday that would endorse a document Iran and major world powers finalized on Tehran's nuclear program, a top Iranian diplomat said.

"The resolution that is going to be adopted by the United Nations Security Council today is deemed a unique one in its kind in the history of the Security Council," Iran's deputy foreign minister and senior nuclear negotiator, Abbas Araqchi, said in a televised interview on Monday.

Today's resolution of the Security Council "will exclude us from the Chapter 7 of the United Nations charter", he added.

"Accordingly, the Security Council will no more consider Iran's nuclear program as a threat," Araqchi underlined.

He noted that after adoption of the UNSC resolution, Iran's Foreign Ministry will issue a statement declaring that Tehran will not recognize the legitimacy of the sanctions and restrictions anymore and regards them all as invalid.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 concluded more than two weeks of intensive nuclear talks in Vienna. The negotiations resulted in a comprehensive 159-page document on Iran's nuclear program.

The UNSC is due to vote today on a resolution that would endorse the finalized text of the accord.

According to the draft text of the resolution, seven previous UN resolutions on Iran will be terminated when the International Atomic Energy Agency submits a report to the council verifying that Iran has implemented certain nuclear-related measures.
