Tehran, July 16, IRNA -- UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag held a telephone conversation with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Over the phone on Wednesday, Kaag congratulated the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the landmark nuclear deal.

She also felicitated the Iranian nation on the occasion.

The UN official described the deal as effective for regional cooperation, while being influential for restoration of sustainable security and development to the region.

Amir-Abdollahian, for his part, thanked the UN official for her call, describing her role as important and constructive in Lebanon development.
