Rome, July 16, IRNA – European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini says EU is optimistic with nuclear deal between Iran and the world major powers.
Speaking to Italian daily La Republica on Thursday, Mogherini said agreement with Iran will help security and stability in the Middle East and change conditions from Syria to Iraq.
She said it is an agreement for nuclear non-proliferation, which will help security and stability in a region, which is in need of peace.
She added that it is a historical move, opening up doors to relations on the basis of trust.
She went on to say that Iran can play a political role in settlement of a series of problems, including conflicts in the Middle East, ranging from Syria to Iraq.
The EU official said the world with the nuclear accord has not finished and it should be enforced. It should be transferred to the UN Security Council to lift the sanctions, she said, adding that even the European Council should also take action for lifting the sanctions.
