The grandson of the late Imam Khomeini has thanked the country's nuclear negotiating team, especially Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, for their tireless efforts for conclusion of a historic deal with P5+1 and for the world's recognition of the country's nuclear capabilities.

In a telephone call with Zarif, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini congratulated [the team on] the nuclear deal and said that tapping into active diplomacy to show to the world a peaceful image of Iran has been one of the big achievements of the nuclear team.

He also expressed hope that the landmark deal can help remove part of the country's problems which have been caused by the sanctions imposed on Iran.
