Minister: Oil exports to rise 2.5 mln barrels daily

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh said that the countrys oil exports would hit 2.5 million barrels daily after the final text of nuclear agreement comes into effect.

I have already said that we are ready to increase exports by 500.000 barrels daily after sanctions are lifted. After implementation of the agreement, we can add 1.000.000 barrels to the exports and increase it to 2.5 million barrels daily, Zangeneh said.

He also said, Our priority is development of joint oil and gas fields through local and foreign potentials.

There are many companies ready to make investment in Iran, he said, adding, German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel would come to Iran next week and we hope that we can increase our cooperation with the country.

Iranian oil minister noted that Iran is after managing oil price management. We are responsible to keep our markets.

Zangeneh said that it takes 5-6 months to increase oil output comparing to the current volume.
